CQUNIVERSITY AND CHINA’S SOUTHWEST JIAOTON UNIVERSITY COLLABORATE TO BENEFIT RAIL SECTOR
L-R CQUni Professor Colin Cole, with SWJTU students Qing Wu, Chunsheng Li, and CQUni researcher Associate Professor Maksym Spiryagin.
CQUniversity has formed an important relationship with China’s Southwest Jiaotong University (SWJTU) to focus on rail research. The relationship enables Chinese researchers to complete two years of postgraduate study at SWJTU and then two years at CQUniversity.
Chengdu-based SWJTU is home of the State Key Laboratory of Traction Power that produces significant research outcomes for Chinese Railways.
“The CQUni-SWJTU relationship involves reciprocal visits by senior researchers plus joint supervision of PhD candidates, sharing of grant funding and research knowledge, and co-publication of research.
“Innovations flowing from the collaboration can benefit the rail sector of both China and Australia.” says Professor Colin Cole from CQUniversity’s Centre for Rail Engineering.
CQUni values our connection with China and our Chinese alums. We encourage you to remain involved with the University – our Alumni Benefits webpage outlines some of the ways you can stay connected.
As an alumnus, you have opportunities to be involved in research or further study, if you are interested, you can find out more by contacting us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
