Celebrating 30 Years!
Sydney-Guangzhou Sister City Relationship - Alumni Event
The ACAA invited alumni to attend Sydney’s six leading universities' alumni to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of the Sister City relationship between Sydney and Guangzhou. Distinguished guests included the Lord Mayor of Sydney, Clover Moore, the chairman of Kingold Group Dr Chau Chak Wing, the former Mayor of Guangzhou, Chen Jianhua and the Consul-General of Australia Guangzhou, Mr. Dominic Trindade.
More than 200 participants including Sydney area alumni and guests celebrated the success of this relationship between Sydney and Guangzhou. This relationship has provided multiple benefits to both parties in trade, cultural exchange, education, experience sharing of ecosystems and in architecture.
Australian alumni are perhaps the most important bridge connecting China and Australia to boost the industrial, economic and cultural progress in different aspects.
Here at the ACAA we endeavour to enhance such alumni engagement between Australia and China.
